something fascinating about walking on the chess board to play with giant
pieces!

Bird watching
Easy, inexpensive, healthful and satisfying. Taking a page from Henry David
Thoreau, we consider any day wasted that we don't go for a walk and enjoy
nature. Here on Willow Winds property we have a nesting pair of red tail hawks,
numerous woodpeckers, finches, cardinals, blue jays and more! Ducks and geese
sometimes drop from the sky to visit the pond. Whether you view from your deck
or while hiking the grounds you'll find our lush landscape invites our feathered
friends in abundance.
Garden / Fountain Hike
Willow Winds has several fountains and gardens. Take a leisurely stroll
through the grounds to find something blooming almost year round. The season
starts early with millions of daffodils that give way to masses of azaleas and
rhododendron. Summer finds Black Eyed Susan's, magnolias, Stella Dora lilies and
fragrant roses in an abundant riot of color. Privets, Hostas, Pansies, and
Begonias punctuate the forest with color and scent.
