Chris’s Cabin is the only rustic cabin in Willow Winds. This nineteenth century log cabin is made of hand hewn logs and has a huge stone fireplace which originally served both to heat the cabin and to cook the meals of its occupants. Although the current owners originally planned to demolish this old structure, they decided to renovate it when they realized that it was an antique structure that could not replaced.

The cabin now features all of the amenities of the other cabins of Willow Winds, except for central heat and air. However, it is cooled in summer by a large wall air conditioning unit and heated with gas during the cooler months. It features a covered rear deck with hot tub that overlooks the mountain stream, pond, and fountain below.

Enjoy the cozy amenities while relaxing in this comfy cabin which was probably once enjoyed by early settlers and fur trappers. For those who want to enjoy the experience of staying in a real log cabin like those of our ancestors, this Asheville cabin can’t be beat.

We had a very relaxing and wonderful stay at Chris’s Cabin! The service was excellent and everything you could possibly want or need was available to us. We recommend Biltmore if you are looking for a fun day and something to do. The atmosphere here at Willow Winds is great and we felt welcomed and wanted during our entire stay. We hope to be back in the future!

My wife and I came to Willow Winds for a much needed romantic getaway. We absolutely love the old fashioned feel of Chris’s Cabin and had a cozy fire going every night. We enjoyed taking little nature walks, playing horseshoes, lounging in the hammock, watching movies while snuggling next to the fire and of course relaxing in the hot tub. We can’t wait till we come back again, we will definitely stay longer. There is too much to do just in a weekend. Plan your time wisely and make sure you take advantage of this beautiful place while you are here.

This place is Great! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and all the comforts of home. It was nice to be able to throw a couple of steaks on the grill and enjoy dinner on the deck and afterwards the hot tub. The weather was perfect ~~mid 70’s in the daytime and 40’s-50’s at night. Would definitely recommend this time of the year to everyone! And this place! Mark & Jeni

My wife and I are here for our honeymoon. We quickly fell in love with the Willow Winds area and especially Chris’s Cabin. We recommend hiking the Mountain to Sea Trail – but be warned it’s not a loop! Take advantage of the fun that can be had right outside your cabin! Fish the pond, play horseshoes, play Ping-Pong, play bocce, play chess….Of all the things we did we enjoyed nothing more than laying around the cabin, sitting out on the deck, and boiling in the Jacuzzi. Chris’s Cabin is splendid! Why try to pack your days full of stuff that keeps you away from it? 
