Date Night and Interactive Theatre
Oct. 1, 2008. Looking for a date idea? How about a night in Downtown Asheville, with dinner and a play called 700 Stories of Love and One Really Big Reason to Quilt.
This isn’t your typical play, however.
Put on by The Redundant Theatre Company Theatre at the North Carolina Stage Company, this drama incorporates some audience participation, so audiences should be ready. Much of the audience stands throughout the production, and theatre-goers will be required to move around. There are also a few curse words, so this isn’t for the easily offended, either.
If you’re interested, the production ends this weekend. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30, and tickets cost $15. There’s a parking garage next door on Walnut Street, between Lexington Avenue and Haywood Street, which is a location convenient to all of the Downtown restaurants.
