Enjoy the Green Spring Gardens of Willow Winds

We are the only vacation rental lodging in North America located in a four seasons woodland garden. Our Gardens are green year round and filled with other colors according to the season. Spring is here in Asheville's woodland gardens at Willow Winds. With the temperatures rising, our millions of daffodils are in full bloom. Our hundreds of forsythia, Bradford Pear trees, and Mahonia Bealia are now blooming. The beauty of our woodland gardens is striking during the spring months.

 

 

 

 

 


Early spring is one of the most pleasant times of the year in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The fish are biting and the weather is fine. It is warm enough during the day to enjoy outside activities and an ideal time to enjoy the romance of our hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces during the evenings. It is the perfect time of year for that anniversary vacation or other romantic getaway.

Biltmore Estate ticket special for our 2008 spring guests!

 This spring our guests can take advantage of a special on their Biltmore Estate tickets purchased through Willow Winds. The Biltmore Estate has more to offer than can be fully appreciated in a one-day tour.

Guests who purchase a ticket from the Willow Winds office will have a ticket valid for two consecutive days instead of the usual one day. This special is only on tickets purchased at Willow Winds, not available on-line or at the Biltmore Welcome Center Ticket Office.

Children nine and younger will be free all year long. Kids ages 10 to 16 are admitted free May 19th to September 5th 2008. Ages 10 to 16 are admitted at half the adult admission price when charged.

Our spring off-peak rates extend to May 22. Check our special spring rates on our reservation page. For a limited time we are offering a 20% discount for same-day reservations and a 10% discount for reservations made three days in advance. These discounts are available for mid-week reservations only and are not available on weekends.

For budget conscious vacationers who don’t want to sacrifice on luxury, Willow Winds offers the best value for the following reasons.

  1. Willow Winds offers a standard of luxury, excellence and cleanliness consistent with that of a first class luxury hotel. Our full time maintenance staff is available to address any problems.
  2. Willow Winds charges no additional fees except for the sales and occupancy taxes required by law. There are no $60 to $75 cleaning fees as charged by many vacation rentals or the “resort fees”, internet charges, and other fees charged by hotels.
  3. Willow Winds is in the city limits of Asheville. It is located five minutes from the Biltmore Estate and the shops and restaurants of Biltmore village and within 15 minutes of the entire downtown Asheville area.
  4. Willow Winds has more free amenities and activities for kids than other facilities. Kids and adults can enjoy our free game porch, horseshoes, bocce ball, baggo, outdoor chess set, free fishing in a stocked trout pond, water wars, huge free video library, and other activities described here.

Our Asheville cabin rentals and cottages offer every convenience of home, including a hot tub, stone fireplace, full kitchen, radio/CD player and cable TV/VCR/ DVD - even a washer/dryer and a hair dryer. High-speed Internet service is available in all of our cabins. Guests who bring their iPods can fill their cabins with the sound of their favorite music by plugging their iPod into our Altec Lansing ipod sound stations which are available at the office. Beware of listings who claim to be in Asheville or "only minutes from Asheville". In some cases property owners use an Asheville mail address to trick the search engines, although their property may be as far as 45 minutes from the city of Asheville. Willow Winds has Green Vacation Rentals in Every Respect

In addition to the green beauty of our woodland gardens, Willow Winds follows green environmental practices. We provide recycling bins for our guests. We are rapidly converting all our light bulbs to compact florescent bulbs wherever they fit, and we compost our yard waste and leaves. All of our heating and air conditioning units are high efficiency models to conserve electricity.

Our preservation of the natural green beauty of our forests around the cabins and our aggressive program of planting more trees makes Willow Winds considerably cooler in the summers and cuts the need for air conditioning.
