The fish are biting in our freshly stocked trout pond and we have stocked every luxury cabin with firewood for chilly nights. Only five minutes away Christmas at Biltmore has begun. Although most of our leaves have fallen, there is still plenty of color in our vacation rental resort. Our grass is greener than ever, and our burning bushes and firepowers are still fiery red. Our Bradford pear trees have just begun to show their autumn colors, while our thousands of evergreens continue to provide a green background. We have planted over 40,000 more daffodils, which will begin blooming in late February

Unlike other mountain cabins, the beauty of Willow Winds is year round. With the abundant moisture this year, our woodland gardens have never been greener. Our beds of annuals provide an accent to our collage of green, gold, yellow and red foliage. Our crape myrtle trees are especially beautiful in September. Our cabins are surrounded by thousands of evergreen trees, shrubs and bushes. Our thousands of hemlock, holly, cypress, and pine trees are complemented by thousands of rhododendrons, mahonia belias, and azaleas as well as hundreds of nandinas, variegated privet, firepower, English laurels and golden holly bushes. In the colder months, the abundant red berries in our nadinas and hollies provide a beautiful contrast to the dark green of our evergreen foliage.
The temperatures are moderate during the day and cool at night, ideal for many outdoor activities, such as hiking and taking advantage of the on-site recreational faculties. Our guests can take advantage of a special on their Biltmore Estate tickets purchased through Willow Winds. The Biltmore Estate has more to offer than can be fully appreciated in a one-day tour. Guests who purchase a ticket from the Willow Winds office will have a ticket valid for two consecutive days instead of the usual one day. This special is only on tickets purchased at Willow Winds, not available on-line or at the Biltmore Welcome Center Ticket Office.
Children nine and younger will be free all year long. Kids 10 to 16 are admitted at half the adult admission price when charged.
