Unlike other mountain cabins, the beauty of Willow Winds is year round. With the abundant moisture the spring, our woodland gardens have never been greener. Our hundreds of hostas and butterfly bushes have burst into full bloom, and our beds of annual flowers are beautiful. They provide an accent to our collage of green, gold, yellow and red foliage. Our cabins are surrounded by thousands of evergreen trees, shrubs and bushes. Our thousands of hemlock, holly, cypress, and pine trees are complemented by thousands of rhododendrons, mahonia belias, and azaleas as well as hundreds of nandinas, variegated privet, firepower, English laurels and golden holly bushes. In the colder months, the abundant red berries in our nadinas and hollies provide a beautiful contrast to the dark green of our evergreen foliage.

The temperatures are moderate during the day (70's and low 80's), ideal for many outdoor activities, such as hiking and taking advantage of the on-site recreational faculties. A few minutes away are a number of fine restaurants and the lively night life of downtown Asheville. During the evening hours, it is hard to beat our private hot tubs on the bedroom decks. The off peak rates which apply to several months of the year are especially attractive and our special packages are even more economical.

Our guests can take advantage of a special on their Biltmore Estate tickets purchased through Willow Winds. The Biltmore Estate has more to offer than can be fully appreciated in a one-day tour. Guests who purchase a ticket from the Willow Winds office will have a ticket valid for two consecutive days instead of the usual one day. This special is only on tickets purchased at Willow Winds, not available on-line or at the Biltmore Welcome Center Ticket Office.

Children nine and younger will be free all year long. Kids 10 to 16 are admitted at half the adult admission price when charged.
